The Warehouse & Logistics Coordinator plays a key role in supporting FT’s Australian operations by overseeing day-to-day warehouse, logistics and stores activities.

This is a hands-on operational role, combining physical warehouse activity with coordination of logistics, suppliers and stock movement to ensure smooth, safe and efficient operations.

This role will operate as a standalone position within the Australian site, requiring a high level of ownership and self-direction. While you will be the sole warehouse and logistics resource locally, you will work closely with established colleagues in Service and Sales in Australia, as well as Supply Chain and SHEQ teams based in the UK.

What you’ll be doing

  • Overseeing daily warehouse and stores operations, including:
  • Goods receipt, inspection, storage and dispatch.
  • Stock control and inventory accuracy.
  • Preparation of materials and equipment for internal use and external dispatch.
  • Coordinating with suppliers, freight forwarders and transport providers to ensure timely, cost-effective deliveries.
  • Maintaining accurate records across FT systems (ERP / inventory tools), with a strong focus on data integrity.
  • Ensuring materials and equipment are available to support operational and service requirements.
  • Coordinating third-party logistics providers or contractors where required.
  • Supporting compliance with safety, handling, storage and transport requirements.
  • Identifying and implementing practical improvements to warehouse layout, logistics flow and efficiency.
  • Supporting periodic stock counts, audits and reconciliations.

Health, safety & compliance

  • Promoting and maintaining a strong safety culture across warehouse and logistics operations.
  • Ensuring compliance with FT policies and Australian WHS legislation.
  • Participating in safety reviews and incident investigations where required.
  • Ensuring correct handling, storage and movement of equipment and materials at all times.

Stakeholder engagement

  • Building strong working relationships with UK based Supply Chain and SHEQ teams, ensuring alignment with global processes and standards.
  • Communicating clearly and proactively across time zones, providing updates, raising issues and escalating risks when required.
  • Working collaboratively with local Service and Sales colleagues to support operational and customer needs in Australia.

What we’re looking for

Essential:

  • Proven experience in warehouse, logistics or stores operations within an engineering, industrial, mining, manufacturing or technical environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Ability to balance hands on physical work with coordination and administration.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Confident communicator with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Practical, proactive and solution-focused mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a standalone role.
  • Resilient and confident operating with limited on-site support.
  • Experience working with offshore or global teams and across different time zones.
  • Forklift licence.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems.
  • Exposure to Australian logistics, freight or import/export processes.
